Shoulder pain
Shoulder pain can make the simple things hard: reaching up to a shelf, sleeping on that side, getting a shirt on.
It can come from the shoulder itself, from the neck and upper back, or from a sudden jump in load at the gym or at work.

What We Look For
We look at the shoulder, the shoulder blade and the neck together, and at where the movement runs out.
We check strength through the rotator cuff and how the shoulder handles load overhead and across the body.

How We Help
- Movement
- Reaching overhead and behind your back without the catch.
- Sleep
- Less night pain, so lying on that side gets easier.
- Strength
- Rebuilding through the rotator cuff and shoulder blade.
- Return
- A staged path back to the gym, your sport or your work.
Our Approach
1
Assessment
Your history and a physical examination of the shoulder, neck and upper back.
2
Joint mobilisation
Hands-on work through the shoulder and upper back to restore range.
3
Rehabilitation
Graded strength work through the shoulder, built into your week.
How the plan usually runs
The first three to four visits are about reducing the pain and getting you moving again. From there we slowly move into strengthening, with the plan worked backwards from what you want to get back to.
